Iyengar yoga fan Thought I'd give this a try. I'm keen to find someone I click with and figure sometimes you need to try something new to meet people outside of your normal circles.

A little bit about me: after work took over my life, I 've decided to head in a new career direction from teaching. So, I am starting some more study in social work and I'm hoping to find a better balance. I like all sorts of things including salsa dancing (which I've just started), gym, reading, yoga, camping and road trips, singing, cooking, but most important to me is conversation - I really enjoy discussing current issues and having a hearty debate.

I'm someone who tends to get along with most people but I find loudness or ostentatiousness difficult to deal with. I've travelled a fair amount in Europe - grew up bilingually (German & English) and having not found the right career for me the first time round has humbled me a lot. I like to think I'm a pretty good listener. I am good at striking a compromise but I tend to get enthusiastic about things I like and I'm very independent in the way I run my day-to-day.

I'm looking for someone to have good conversation with and someone who is intelligent and has a gentle side. It'd be great to find someone who is also active and likes to try new things; someone who enjoys the finer things in life - not just beer and sport (ok - forget the sport - I'm a big fan of tennis and footy (go Geelong!)) But hey, I'm not keen on a checklist - I figure if the spark is there then the rest will work itself out!

It's weird advertising yourself this way and I'm not sure how cool I am with it, but I figure it could be fun. It'd be great to hear from people who can be honest about who they are and I'm sorry if it sounds superficial but someone who is willing to show me a photo. I think physical attraction is part of the package. It would also be good if you are willing to meet up in person. I think it's the best way to see if there's a connec
