the Lotus Dabbling in Yoga for years, I always came back to it, loving the grounded feeling (both spiritual and physical ) you come away with.
But being a perfection driven individual, I had a hard time with the lack of length in my muscles. Having spent my youth plus playing soccer, and my adult hood in labor jobs. The grace and fluidity of Yoga usually left me harshly judging myself in disgust. Then came the summer I was working at a water garden farm, splitting plants separating little offspring from the entwined roots of its maker etc. Then one day elbow deep in mud and muck while working with the Lotus, I got that big old preverbal smack up side the head. And I began my journey in earnest, trying not to judge my short comings. Working through and opening up, truly trying to see the beauty that will rise up from the mud.
Practicing at home does not give me much opportunity to meet others, on there own yet possibly similar paths.
